Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
- Create CNC programs using G-code/M-code or CAM software.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
- Set up and test CNC programs before production.
- Optimize programs to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain program documentation and revision records.
- Follow safety procedures and company quality standards.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of CNC milling and turning machines.
- Strong understanding of G-code and M-code.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or SolidCAM).
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
- Problem-solving and attention to detail.
